MoonDogs let Lunkers off the hook
Errors prove costly in loss

MANKATO

Brainerd Area used three unearned runs to post a 4-3 victory over the Mankato MoonDogs in a Northwoods League baseball game Thursday at Franklin Rogers Park.

The MoonDogs, who had won five straight games, committed three errors. Ryan Demmin took the loss, giving up four runs on six hits in 62/3 innings, but only one run was earned.

Kyle Knudson led the offense with three hits, including a double, and Danny Miller went 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs. Taylor Black had two hits, and Kenny Held had an RBI.

The MoonDogs (23-10) begin a two-game home series against La Crosse at 7:05 p.m. today at Franklin Rogers Park.
