Mankato West baseball team beats Albert Lea

Derrick Cattryse had four hits, including a double, and scored twice to lead the Mankato West baseball team to an 11-5 Big Nine Conference win Monday over Albert Lea.
The Scarlets scored the game’s first six runs before the Tigers fought back with three runs in the third inning.
West pulled away with a pair of runs in the fourth and three more in top of the fifth.
Tyler Kuch had three hits for West, and Brock Lloyd added two more with a double and two RBIs.
Lloyd started the game, allowing three runs on four hits with four strikeouts. Kuch pitched the final four innings, allowing two runs on four hits.
The Scarlets (12-6, 10-6 Big Nine) will face Albert Lea again today at Franklin Rogers Park, following a 5 p.m. game vs. Faribault.
