It will be the Mavericks’ 27th tournament appearance.
The fifth-seeded Mavericks (27-23) will face second-seeded Nebraska-Omaha (42-11) in the first round of the Central Regional at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Emporia, Kan. The game will be the seventh meeting of the season between the two North Central Conference rivals. Omaha is 5-1 in the series.
