Rochester JM blanks West baseball team

— Joe Moen fired a three-hit shutout Wednesday, leading Rochester John Marshall to a 3-0 victory over Mankato West in Big Nine Conference baseball.
Moen struck out seven and did not walk a batter while earning the complete-game win. His counterpart, West’s Brock Lloyd, also pitched well. Lloyd gave up six hits, fanned five and did not issue a walk or an earned run through six innings.
Andrew Bruggeman doubled to lead the West attack.
