Title: FT Certified Diabetes Educator Creation Date: 9/19/2008 Description Mankato Clinic, Ltd. is seeking a full-time Certified Diabetes Educator who utilizes knowledge and expertise to meet the educational needs of patients with diabetes. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: patient assessment, teaching self-management skills to patients, facilitating individual and group education classes in our ADA-recognized program, and providing on-going followup care. Strong assessment and problem-solving skills are required, as well as the ability to effectively communicate (both written and orally), work in teams or independently, and understand and apply teaching/learning principles. Requirements This position requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing, and current RN licensure in the State of Minnesota. If candidate is not currently a CDE, sitting for the National Certification Exam for Diabetes Educators is expected once requirements are fulfilled.
