Major appliances valued at $5,000 have been reported stolen from two vacant homes on the 100 block of Tanager Path in Mankato.

The thefts were reported to police on Tuesday by a real estate agent and by one of the home’s former occupants. The time of the thefts is unknown.

A neighborhood resident told police that on Oct. 3 a male was observed removing appliances from one of the homes.

The appliances were put into a black trailer towed by a white SUV, possibly a Chevy Blazer, the resident said.
