Racing to raise cash for race Gutknect, Walz both pleased with financial status By Mark FischenichThe Free Press In the 2nd District congressional race, which includes Le Sueur County along with much of the south metro, Republican Congressman John Kline has raised more than $1 million since the start of the 2006 election cycle and has $667,000 in cash on hand. Democrat Coleen Rowley has raised a total of $389,000 and had $116,000 in cash on June 30.
