Your View: Obama would invest in America

By Joan Bindner, Mankato

After watching the presidential debate Sept. 26, it was clear that John McCain was an angry man.

He stubbornly doubled-down on Bush’s Iraq policy, corporate tax cuts and foreign policy and side-stepped Barack Obama’s common-sense proposal that we allow Iraq to use their own $79 billion surplus to re-generate their country.

It was clear that McCain, instead of honestly responding to Obama on the issues that most Americans care about, stubbornly side-stepped Obama’s presentations in favor of clinging to the same-old phrases of attacking Obama instead of presenting real solutions that the average American needs so badly.

It is clear that Obama is the one ready to be and should be president because he will invest our resources in America; schools, roads and bridges, health care and clean energy. We need Obama.
