Your View: Bush abandoned us, and common sense
So, this is what it’s come to in America. If you disagree with the president, you’re a “turncoat."
I don’t know Your View letter writer Judy Ahlstrom personally, but I’d like to say, I’d be proud to stand next to her, as a fellow turncoat.
It’s a noble duty to stand up and have the guts to say, “the emperor has no clothes.”
I’ve always felt, if 9/11 was the real provocation, then we would have gone after our so-called “friends” in Saudi Arabia, one of the most repressive regimes in the world, and the home country to some of the 9/11 terrorists.
Disagreeing with the president is not being a turncoat, or giving comfort to the enemy, or any of the other buzzwords. Disagreeing is being a good American, because of that little document called The Bill of Rights, which give us the right to free speech. You can’t make things better if you stay silent.
No, Ahlstrom did not abandon our president. He has abandoned us, and common sense.
