Mankato resident, Bill Charles Mood, 83, died Sunday, November 16, 2008 at Laurels Edge Assisted Living in Mankato.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 19 at Woodland Hills Chapel in Mankato with Chaplain Jim Dye, officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with military honors by the Mankato Area Veterans Memorial Squad. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service on Wednesday. Bill was born October 12, 1925 in Mankato, MN to Andrew and Mary (Floren) Mood. He served in the U.S. Navy from December 31, 1943 to April 20, 1946. He was married to Amy Marie Smith for 63 years. Bill was a long time employee of Crown Cork & Seal. In his leisure time, he liked to hunt and fish and he was a life member of the Kato Cycle Club.

Bill is survived by his wife, Amy; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters.
