Jason R. Donahue of Mankato, MN passed away at Immanuel St. Joseph’s hospital in Mankato, MN on November 4, 2009.
Jason will be buried in a private ceremony on November 6, 2009. A memorial service will be held in his honor on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. at Oak Terrace West, 1570 Tower Blvd., North Mankato, MN.
Jason was born on February 13, 1973 to Anita and Robert Donahue at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Mankato, MN. He graduated from Shakopee High School in 1992 where he excelled in football and wrestling.
After high school, Jason began his work career in the home building business by working for Thelen Bros. Construction in Prior Lake, MN. In 1994 he moved to Mankato, MN and started a long carpentry career working for Todd Lieferman Construction, Montag Development, and Jason Donahue Construction. Jason was a complete carpenter and was fluent in all the disciplines of the construction trade.
For fun, Jason was an accomplished dart and pool player winning many local tournaments and playing in Mankato and Waseca dart and pool leagues. He also enjoyed fishing (open water and ice), pheasant hunting, watching football, and helping others. He always made himself available to help a friend or even a friend of a friend in need.
Jason is survived by his son Dustin of Dallas, TX; his mother Anita, his father Robert, his brother Robert Jr., his sister Aimee, his brother Justin, and his niece Alexa Efta, all of Shakopee, MN; and many relatives and friends.
Jason will be sadly missed by all his family and the many friends and tradesmen he worked with.
