Donald R. Allen, 63, of Park Rapids, MN died 10-22-09 in Park Rapids, MN.

Donald was born June 10, 1946 to Don and Margaret (Dodge) Allen in Superior, WI. He grew up and went to school at Mankato, Minnesota. Served in Army during Vietnam. He married Lorena Sanford on November 20, 1974 in Madison Lake, Minnesota. They lived in South Dakota and Wisconsin before residing in Mankato, Minnesota for many years. He worked as a house painter and at Midas Brake and Muffler in Mankato for nine years. In 1993 they moved to Akeley, MN and then to Park Rapids in 2203.

Donald is survived by: his wife- Lorena of Park Rapids, MN, son Brian of Akeley, MN, daughters- Stephanie Allen of Indianapolis, IN; Melinda Allen of Janesville, MN; a brother, Harvey (Joyce) Allen of Racine, MN; two sisters, Pat Allen of Eau Claire, WI; and Robin (Tom) Becker of Mankato, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Donald R. Allen Jr. and a brother Roger.

Funeral will be Monday, 10-26-09 - 10:00 a.m. at Cease F.H. in Park Rapids, MN. Visitation is Sunday 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. 10-25-09 at Cease F.H.. Interment to be Tuesday, 10-27-09at 1 p.m. at Woodlawn Hills Cemetery in Mankato, MN, with military honors.
