Lorraine Ann Sleeper, age 80 of Mankato, died Sunday, October 12, 2008 in Mankato.
Memorial Mass will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 16, 2008 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Rev. John Kunz officiating. Private family burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Mankato. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. In lieu of flower memorials are preferred to ISJ Hospice or to the YMCA.
Lorraine was born on January 7, 1928, to Conrad and Magdeline (Drummer) Haefner. She graduated in 1945 from Rapidan High School. She was united in marriage to Ralph Sleeper at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato in 1948. Lorraine was a homemaker for her family. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, the Mankato Golf Club, and the YMCA. She enjoyed golfing, playing Bridge, swimming and tennis.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Sleeper of Mankato; children, Bradley Sleeper of St. Cloud, Mark Sleeper of Princeton, and Cindy (Gary) Ehm of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Joanna (Steve) Green Of St. Cloud, Allison Sleeper of St. Cloud, Natalie (Rod) Mauszycki of Woodbury, Katie Sleeper of Atlanta, GA, and Marit Sleeper of Atlanta, GA; great-grandchild, Wyatt Mauszycki; two sisters, Bobbie Frederick of Mankato, and Lucille Becker of California; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and five siblings.
