Lee Patrick Brazil, 67, formerly of Green Isle, died Thursday, May 28, 2009 at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 1 at St. Brendan Catholic Church in Green Isle. Fr. Jerry Paulson will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 31 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington, and also one hour prior to service time on Monday at the church. Interment will be in St. Brendan Catholic Cemetery in Green Isle.

Lee was born on February 18, 1942, to Leonard and Ann (Fitzpatrick) Brazil in Arlington, Minnesota. He graduated from Arlington Green Isle High School in 1960. He married Diane Carroll in 1962 at St. Brendan Catholic Church in Green Isle. He owned and operated Lee Brazil Masonry, Inc. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Drum and Bugle Corp., and the Irish Dutchman Polka Band. He had a passion for music. After retirement he spent his winters in Mexico.

He is survived by his children, Jim (Jenn Brantley) Brazil of Green Isle, MN, David (Patricia) Brazil of Belle Plaine, MN, Teresa Brazil of Minneapolis, MN, and Ben (fiancée, Emily Aronson) Brazil of Green Isle; 4 grandchildren, Ashley and Alex Zellmann and Clair and Sophie Brazil; siblings, Bob Brazil of Bloomington, MN, Betty (Arnie) Teal of Phoenix, AZ, John (Pat) Brazil of Minneapolis, Marge Bauer of Chaska, MN, Tom (Coreen) Brazil of Watertown, SD; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and Diane.
